Trends in the color of the bedroom are related to the creation of a personal space that expresses your innermost desires. For many of us, that means an environment where you can unwind and rejuvenate.

“People want to simplify their lives, and we’re seeing that trend reflected in the color palettes for the decoration of rooms and the whole house,” says Jack Bredenfoerder, president of Color Marketing Group (CMG) (www.colormarketing.org), an international non-profit organization of more than 1,100 designers who meet annually to forecast color trends in the industries of fashion, interior design, automobiles. CMG predicts that the environment will also play an important role in soft tones that are taken from nature, for the bedroom.

“These nuances, especially the shades ranging from brown tones to dark, are perfect for the bedroom, because they are aging and the satisfaction of our souls,” says Bredenfoerder CMG.

“Green and brown are a classic combination that is very popular now,” says Nancy Satterberg, Seattle-based designer. “It’s an ideal combination for the bedroom for warmth. You want to feel comfortable in her bedroom. “
