In recent years it became very fashionable in Western culture the tradition of Feng Shui applied to the decoration. The Eastern tradition seeks spiritual balance in any environment, to achieve peace and harmony of those who inhabit it.

Feng Shui in the Kitchen
The first step that must be taken to stimulate chi, or energy in your kitchen is to remove everything not in use. Because of energy in constant flux, the items that do not need to be blocked. For example, large centerpieces can be replaced by natural plants.

For a home with good feng shui must take into account some general features of its decoration:
* The entry should not be too narrow to keep the door open to a space too crowded or about health, a window, a column or a corner.
* When entering the house, the main door should never open directly onto a ladder. The same section provides that the ascending or descending, is a provision of foreboding, and the longer the stretch, most damaging to the door.
* The dining room should be located in the center of the house, since it is the heart of the home and the sanctuary of the family unit.
